Here is our classroom agenda for this week.

Reading/English/Language Arts:  Stories for the week are What Will the Weather Be Like Today?  and When a Storm Comes Up.  Letters for the week are Bb and Kk.  High frequency words are me and for.  Students will work on listening for and identifying the beginning, middle, and ending sounds in simple words.   The focus for reading will be listening for details and asking questions about a story to gather information.  We will also practice asking and writing questions as a group.

Math:  In math students will work on counting sets to 31 and writing numbers to 31.  Please work with your child counting sets of objects up to 31 and on recognizing and writing the numbers.  We will also continue to practice what number comes next.

Social Studies/Science:  We will continue with a few Christmas crafts and stories and we will take a look at the season of winter and its characteristics.

Our class party is Friday, Dec. 21stth at 12:30.  If you would like to come and help, we would love to have you.  Just drop me a note and be sure to check in at the office when you come.  We will be playing a few games and making a fun craft.
