Hello! Thanks to everyone who came out to support Field Day. What a great day! I know I had fun and so did the students.
Now that things have slowed down for us a little, I would love to have some guest readers come and visit our classroom. If you would like to come and share a book or two with the children at 10:30, please send me an email or note letting me know what day you would like to come. Afterwards, you can join your child for lunch.
The only homework this week will be the reading sheet. Please work with your child on reading the sight words at a good pace. They will need to know these when they start 1st grade next year.
Reading/English/Language Arts: This will be a review week and our last lesson in our reading series. It amazes me how far the students have come in their reading skills since the beginning of the school year! We will review and ask questions about stories. In phonics we will isolate sounds in words, and blend sounds to build and read words.
Math: We have completed our math series for the year but will review and practice addition this week.
Science: We will continue learning about different animal groups, how they are alike, how they are different and how they grow.
Thanks for all you do to help your child succeed!
